Adam’s still in recovery from surgery, and I’m hanging out with him today. Right now we’re watching Raider’s of the Lost Ark, since we borrowed all three Indy DVDs from someone at Adam’s work. Yay Indy! We also got the Lego Indy game, which we started playing immediately. Playing the game made us want to watch the movies, of course. That’s a set I’d own, if I were on a DVD-buying spree, which I currently am not.
I did manage to get out of the apartment for a little while today, which was good. Went for a short walk down Lonsdale Avenue, mostly window shopping (although I did find a nice shirt at Plum that fits me now and will still fit post-pregnancy.
I think we’re nearly set up for the imminent Ultra Magnus, although I’m not entirely sure of that, having never done this before. I guess we’ll know what we’re missing when we get to that point of having a baby in the house and realizing we need something. The time is definitely running quickly now… I’m starting to feel like we’re running out of it.
On the work front, I’m very much ready to go on leave. I may work from home at least one day this coming week, to make things a little easier. The next week I took two days off to meet Jordy at the airport and use up some of my vacation time for relaxing. If there’s a possibility that this kidlet’s going to arrive early, I’d like at least some time off beforehand. Things are currently unsettled and I need to settle them at least somewhat. With less than two months before the baby’s (likely) birth, I’m definitely getting antsy.
Also, those Braxton Hicks contractions are starting to get kinda nasty these days. I don’t get them often (maybe one a day, or every couple of days) but when they hit they’re pretty noticeable. To be totally honest, they hurt, like major menstrual cramp pain. Took me a little while to figure out that’s what they were (sometimes I’m just not that quick.) Now that I’ve made the connection, of course, it makes perfect sense.
