New Jobbiness

So I got a new job at a place that is infinitely cool and suits my personality quite well. Today I gave notice at my current place, where no one was particularly surprised since it was apparent just how bored I got.

I’m absolutely thrilled about this fact. It’s a place I’ve wanted to work since dropping in on their website a couple of years ago, and there is a huge list of incentives that make working there even more exciting. Now I have a whole lot to learn about the details of what they do.

Happy nearly birthday to me! 🙂

It’s reception/admin, which is the same as ever, but the perks are quite awesome.

      4 day work week
      full benefits & rrsps
      3 weeks vacation time
      closed 2 weeks @xmas
      something I believe in
      really cool people
      Great neighbourhood to work in
and maybe more that I just don’t know about yet. 😀

This sounds like a dream job!!

Way to go, Jenni! This sounds like a dream job big time! How fortituitious that this comes on the heels of your “those shoes, that girl, that job” happiness theme! Looks like the job part came together!

I am so excited for you! What will you be doing? The company looks as cool as you said, so if nothing else, it seems like it’ll be a good environment to be in 🙂

I’ll be doing reception, but it gives me a lot of opportunity to pursue school for photography and whatever else I’d like to do.

That’s how I view my job. I’m a receptionist/secretary/administrative assistant, too. But I love my job. I work with the nicest group of people, they’re extraordinarily understanding for needing time off, we get holidays plus (sometimes we get extra days off, paid, just ’cause), there are benefits and bonuses. AND I’m not so drained feeling when I get home at night that I can’t put time forward for the things I want to spend my life on. I think you’ll enjoy this 🙂
