hehehe … i do this with my itunes library every day!! in fact, i used to do this with the old mmm inc. iss box i was developing on.

my itunes server is now approaching 6,000 tracks – it’s been on “random” for a couple monoths now and when i’m curious, i check the “recently played” lists to find just random random and party shuffle actually are … it’s an obsession of mine, actually, ever since i had to keep re-writing the randomizers for iss. it’s not an easy thing to do, but apple seems to have done a fairly decent job. i think mine was better, though …

That’s my at work Itunes library. I’m working on my at home one, since it’s pretty small – upgrading to a new machine gave me lots more hard drive space, and naturally I have to fill it with as much music as humanly possible.

The itunes randomizer is way better than the old winamp one…

Damn … I haven’t used winamp since the mmm days, Jen! I still think my randomizer worked better … I caught iTunes playing two artists in a row (out of almost 400 artists) the other day. Tisk Tisk!
