Back online

So our internet is once again up and running, although we haven’t yet set up the office at all. I’m lucky that I’m borrowing my brother’s laptop right now, which is the only reason I’m online – my computer and desk are both still in pieces. Hopefully this weekend we can get a lot done. Adam plans to work on the office tomorrow, I think, although he’s going to need my help for the putting together of his desk.

I’ve taken a photo every day, but haven’t had the chance to edit them and subsequently upload them. Plus, being offline makes it rather challenging to upload things. I haven’t taken today’s pic, however, so I should really get to that.

Perhaps now I shall make some tea. Adam’s been grumpy tonight (and on and off all week,) but I can’t figure out how to cheer him up. Some things just don’t get easier with time.

I started my new job today, and so far it’s been good. Hopefully I’ll learn what I need to quickly enough that they will think I’m awesome.

People at the old job gave me a fantastic card which they had all signed – it was really sweet of them. I plan to keep in touch with some people from there.

On New Year’s Day after we moved, we rented Serenity. It was good, even if you’ve never seen the series (neither of us have.) I wonder how much better it is if you have seen it. Eh. Whatever. It was pretty good. We also used our gift certificates at famous players to go and see the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Pretty good, but not outstanding. I liked the latest Harry Potter better.

I’m all over the place tonight. Also, my right foot is completely asleep. I should make some tea and take a PaD, and then maybe consider uploading the week’s PaDs.

I’d say, as a Browncoat you come into the movie with a much stronger attachment to Serenity and her crew. So when certain emotional events occur, there is much greater impact. I don’t want to get spoilery, you know the ones.

I do strongly recommend Firefly, too. A lot more time for every character, lots more humor…
