So there’s an emergency warning in North Vancouver (where I live and work) regarding mudslides. A couple have already happened at the base of Mt. Seymour. I called work to see if they were bothering to open (because who in their right mind would go to a mountain during a mudslide warning?) and the receptionist said that she didn’t know about retail, but all outdoor activities as well as the cafeteria were closed, but the theatre is open. Since retail and the theatre are basically the same department, that means that retail is open. Seems ridiculous to me.

So anyhow. Here I go to work on a mountain in a mudslide warning for minimum wage! Go me!! I’m sure it’ll be fine. It’ll just be completely empty. They’re losing money being open.
