Hmmm… exciting tales from the theatre today… the lights were messed up all through the evening show tonight, which was probably only noticed by lighting guys, sound guys, ushers, and the unfortunate people in orchestra who got blasted with the stage lights at random intervals during the show. Amusing to us, however. Not that exciting, however.
The manager offered to buy us all chinese food during the break between shows today, to celebrate chinese new year, so I signed up (hey, free chinese food!) but then at the last minute she changed her mind, and decided that we should eat fried chicken from Popeye’s instead. It turned all the ushers who partook into mindless grease drones. Everyone who had the Popeye’s chicken was exhausted all throughout the evening show.
Went to pick up Adam at the Canon (former Pantages, where he works as an usher/doorman for The Producers) and we ended up going out with a few people from there. My throat’s not happy with the smoke inhalation, so we only stayed for one drink then came home. I think tonight’s a cough syrup night.
There are things about my situation that may be changing in major ways in the next little while. I feel both happy and disappointed. Maybe I’ll talk about it when I know things for sure. If I can find someone to talk to about it.
In the meantime, I’m going to watch some tv which demands no energy on my part, and then go to bed. Tomorrow’s the last day of my week. Yay!
