I went out to an open stage tonight to see Darcie, Jen and Ian play. It was really good, there were a lot of talented songwriters there, and the hosts were (I think?) former members of Zoebliss or something. Or maybe current members. I didn’t figure that part out. Anyhow, there was a fiddle player and a guitar player and they had lovely voices and such. I coughed every thirty seconds or so, more or less. Stupid cough. I ache all over from it.

Darcie, (damn, I hope I’m spelling that right!) Jen and Ian played a couple of songs. I didn’t recognize the first one. I meant to ask what it was, but forgot completely. The second one they played was Bleed To Love Her – a Fleetwood Mac tune that they also did on Sunday night at the Secret Show. Whatever it was that felt wrong on Sunday night during that song was gone tonight… it sounded pretty good to me. Darcie asked me where Phil was… I didn’t have a clue. I figured she would know.

There was a guy there who was like a clone of Ian. It was eerie.

I wrote a bit when I was sitting at my table listening to various people playing music. I realized a few things, too. I’m starting to piece together what I need to do. I haven’t figured out yet how to do it, or what everything is that needs to be done, but I’ve started.

Next week I will have my voice back and I will perform at the open stage.

The name of the song is Thief by Belly. You can find it on the Tankgirl Soundtrack.

Ohh, thanks. I think Belli (err… Trasie) has that cd upstairs someplace, maybe.
