Ack! The lightbulb in the kitchen burnt out. I can’t reach it to replace it, either. I’ll have to wait until Jay gets home and get him to do that, he’s taller than I am.

Dayle is going mental right now.

The landlady called to ask us if we wanted some firewood, since one of the trees in our front lawn fell over during the snowstorm last week. The city came and chopped it up for us, and now there’s all sorts of wood in the lawn. *sigh* Free wood, and we still don’t even have a grate for our fireplace, so we can’t use it. I’ll bet that would warm me up in no time.

agreed – the flames are rather hypnotic. I always have to remind myself NOT to stick my hand in the fire, because yes, it will actually bring great pain. it’s not fair that something so pretty can hurt so much….. and that is a GREAT segue to Valentine’s Day, eh? 😉
